By sourcing HALEU from existing DOE stockpiles, the US is securing in-country supply chains and is on track to reach its goal of making 21 metric tons available to nuclear developers by June 30, 2026.  To date, 10 MT have been made available, making energy production possible using smaller reactor designs with longer operating cycles, with increased efficiencies.
